figo would like to thank you for a great 2016!
As the year draws to a close, we can look back on a number of highlights. That 2016 was such a successful and special one for figo was, of course, first and foremost due to our customers, partners, and supporters – in other words, you!
What exactly was so great? Take a look at a review of the last 12 months:
Deutsche Börse becomes partner of figo
In November, we were proud to announce that we have won Deutsche Börse as a partner and investor, one which is strategically placed to support us in our expansion. The fact that the news has been so widely reported in other European countries underlines that we are on the right path: http://figo.pr.co/
Bankathon 2016: an adventure with developers, fintechs and banks
With the help of our incredible sponsors from the first Fintech Week Hamburg, we put on the third Bankathon as the sole organizer, right here in Hamburg, and under the motto
PSD2 is the XS2Adventure
. The more than 200 guests at the Final Pitches, 85 participants, and 22 teams underscored the relevance of the theme PSD2 as well as the need for a cooperation between FinTechs and banks. Our film offers a nice wrap-up of the Bankathon:
figo wins banks as partners, moves in and says “welcome” to the 1000. developer
When the idea to deal with the topic of categorizing bank data first became a concrete one, there was a natural partner for us: aboalarm. Their sophisticated and highly-developed technology is the foundation for our categorization engine – figo tagger.
Deutsche Bank has only recently launched its MultiBanking function, which has been implemented using our technology. The cooperation was announced in April in the context of a press workshop, which was received very positively by the (professional) public.
In addition, we can celebrate more than 1,000 developers, companies, FinTechs and others who are now building financial products and solutions based on our banking API, we have launched a blog about PSD2, won several great new partners like Cringle, Bonify and Addison, connected Austrian banks to the figo platform and purchased the jsHBCI library.
2016 had a lot to offer and was very exciting for us as a company and as a team: We moved into our new office in April, where there are now 35 of us who would like to welcome you all at any time!
We sincerely thank all of you who have accompanied us on this piece, and wish you all a pleasant Christmas time!
Here’s to an equally exciting and successful 2017!
